With this noble teaching in mind, Muslim Aid of Saskatchewan’s volunteers came together last Saturday to prepare and distribute meals to those facing food insecurity in downtown Regina 💫 Special thanks to Knox Metropolitan Church for generously offering their kitchen space to help make this possible.

Since its inception, MAS has distributed over 6,100 meals and more than 150 food hampers 🍛🍱 to those in need. Your donations play a crucial role in sustaining these efforts.

Alhamdulillah, our monthly food hamper distribution was a great success 🤗 The cherry on top was the thoughtful contribution of Brother Yanis, who brought fresh boxes of cherries to share with our community in addition to the hampers 🍒🤲🏼

In Islam, food holds deep significance, not only for nourishing our bodies but also for building bonds of compassion and care. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reminds us: “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.” al-Sunan al-Kubrá 19049

🎒‼️ We are looking for Youth Volunteers (ages 8-12yrs) to help build backpacks with essential school supplies for Regina kids in need to ensure they have the tools they need to succeed! This event is run by Islamic Relief Canada and Muslim Aid of Saskatchewan. *(See poster for details & link below)*

🤝 InshAllah this will be an opportunity for our youth to get together to learn the importance of helping others and have a hands on experience by preparing the items for distribution. (PLEASE NOTE: backpacks will be distributed privately by MAS to it’s Monthly Food Hamper client’s children.)

Muslim Aid of Saskatchewan’s volunteers prepared and distributed food to more than 100 homeless people last Saturday in downtown Regina! We are grateful to the Knox Metropolitan Church for giving us their kitchen space to prepare the lunches 🥗

The Muslim Aid of Saskatchewan’s Monthly Food Ha

The Muslim Aid of Saskatchewan’s Monthly Food Hamper Program aids many people that constantly face food insecurity 🥗.

Arranging something to eat on a daily basis turns out to be a big challenge for more people than one would think! 🧗We aim to alleviate food insecurity in our community through these hampers by supplying them to people who are in dire need of it.

Behind the impact that we are making is the consistent effort of our generous donors and our dedicated volunteers👬who come together to make this program a huge success!

Islamic Relief donated 100 Winter kits for the April 6th hamper distribution. Huda School donated additional contents to add to our hamper contents. We were able to add more contents to the hamper distribution thanks to a successful donation drive by our amazing Regina community. Watch the full video for snapshots of April 6, 2024.

Your support, whether through donations or volunteering, makes a real difference.
